October 19 - November 17, 2007
On the heels of a 20-year drought, a severe water shortage has made the use of private toilets obsolete. All amenities are public, require a usage fee and are controlled by one company—and anyone who can’t pay his or her way is immediately sent to “Urinetown,” never to be heard from again. But a clever band of rebels, holding out in the depths of the public sewer system, stir the town into chaos and hilarity in this Tony Award-Winning musical comedy. Songs include, “Run, Freedom, Run!,” “Follow Your Heart,” and “Why Did I Listen To That Man?” Music and lyrics by Mark Hollmann and book and lyrics by Greg Kotis.
